The Client
A leading technology company providing marketing and sales automation. Their business and their services are based on staying current on trends including technology. The company has a world-wide client base, so effective collaboration is vital to keep this growing company in contact with the people who rely on them.
The Work
They moved to a new facility in Boston, and KTS installed all the cabling for the facility including the network cabling. KTS designed and set the server room up with cable trays, 2 post racks, patch panels, and wire managers. KTS installed, terminated and tested all network equipment.
The company then asked KTS to design and install two Zoom Rooms in its new location. KTS designed two 10’x 20’ collaboration rooms and installed the hardware and software.
Good collaboration meetings require high quality equipment that is aesthetically pleasing to the space and meets the needs of participants. KTS installed:
- 70” 4K HD monitors. These large monitors were the right size to ensure good screen visibility for participants.
- Fixed tabletop Crestron Touch pads are used to control the equipment. The Zoom licensed software is located on a hard drive behind the video monitor, but by using the touchpad to control the room, employees can walk into the rooms and use the touchpad to easily obtain a secure connection with colleagues and clients and begin a Zoom meeting
Challenges
An open ceiling design presents challenges when installing network wiring. KTS is highly skilled at installation and ensures all aspects of the wiring are designed and installed to work within the existing architecture, skillfully integrated and undetected.
Benefits/Impact
Within one day, they were fully operational with collaboration room capabilities using Zoom Room technology, and their staff was trained to use the equipment so they could easily connect their employees with clients around the globe.
