Common Priorities to Prepare for Next Semester
Winter break at most colleges and universities will be longer than normal this year. Many are finishing up on-campus at Thanksgiving and not planning for students to return until mid- to late January.
This break is clearly unlike others, and we are seeing common needs across campuses as IT and facilities departments look to get priority work done while the students are gone.
We’re hearing from colleges and private high schools throughout our region that are looking for various solutions and want to get them in place for the second semester.
The three most common needs include:
- Improving cell coverage
- Improving Wi-Fi
- Addressing communication infrastructure limitations that adversely affect bandwidth
If you are dealing with any of these are issues on your campus, KTS will find the right solution to solve them before you bring your students back for the spring semester.
Solutions to help you
- We design and install cellular BDAs (bi-directional amplifier) to improve cell reception throughout your campus
- We design and install wireless access points in areas that struggle to get reliable Wi-Fi
- We design and install fiber optic back bone cabling to support your network today and your network needs in the future
